If you want to buy a new CCTV system and you are undecided we have a few reccomendations. We can install any CCTV system but with the very cheap and unknown brands there is a big probabillity for something to fail.
There are a lot of CCTV systems on the market: analogic, digital, wireless, autonomous, etc. .
The security camera systems were all analogic at the beginnings and every camera needed a signal cable going to the DVR (digital video recorder) and a power cable.
These days, technology evolved, and we have the IP cameras using only one UTP cable, which transmits the video signal and the power (PoE) through the same line at way higher resolutions than the analogic ones. More, they can be connected to a separate PoE switch, so only one cable will connect all the cameras to the NVR (network video recorder) .
What you should be interested in a CCTV system
- Number of PoE channels – how many IP Cameras can be connected
- Resolution – measured in mega pixels. A good image quality starts with 5MP , 4K = 8MP
- Hard disk – used to store the recorded videos. It writes on top of the old recordings so the bigger, the more time you will be able to see in the past.

The 4 camera system can connect up to 8 cameras, so if you need 6 cameras you will need to buy the 4 camera kit and 2 separate cameras.
The 8 camera system can connect up to 16 cameras, so if you need more than 8 cameras ( which are included ) you can buy additional cameras.
These are mid-range security systems. If you need something more powerful, with better resolution, AI integrations and other functions please give us a call. We are more than happy to find a solution.

Additional devices
The PoE switch or the junction boxes are not absolutely necessary ( the NVR’s have the PoE ports ) but can make the cabling less visible and weatherproof.
